Bactrim is a sulfonamide antibiotic which kills sensitive bacteria in the body. Infections treated by Bactrim are: urinary tract and ear infections, diarrhea, bronchitis and some types of pneumonia. It is possible that your doctor may prescribe this drug for conditions not listed above.
